5 tips to help prepare for exams

1.Ensure that all your study material is ready,this includes pencils,pens,papers and highlighters.This saves time for moving around looking for where the pen was left or placed.

2.Ensure that your sessions are as short as possible but effective.Studying for a long time maybe a waste of time sometimes because you'll find that for instance,if you had studied for 3 hours straight,you were only effective the first 30 minutes and the rest of 2 hours 30 minutes was you just staring at the book and flipping pages.


Taking short breaks will be more effective because your brain will refresh every time and will be ready to take in more information.Apart from that,you find that you'll spend less time studying un-effectively and more time effectively.

3.Try to use colours,diagrams and pictures for easy understanding of a topic.

4.Try to explain it to someone who can listen,that is,help people who do not understand what you have understood.This helps you refresh all the ideas and concepts accummulated in the previous study session.

5.Have enough sleep,this is an important part that most learners neglect.Always rest enough and if you are preparing for exams,ensure that you sleep and eat properly.
